Keep eye out for Dust And Sand

-

DUST And Sand for Graeme Ferns is capable of turning his form around from box one in the race-four $1750 Nightcliff Sports And Social Club feature at Winnellie Park tonight.

Worthy Moment (Carol Pickard) from the outside box and Happy Glen (Jamie Hosking) also have good records over 537m, and are major dangers.

Hosking’s Arnhem Mayhem blotted his record of fourstraight wins with a third last week, but can make amends in the race-six NT Government New Year’s Dash, worth $1750.

The Pickard-trained Tiger’s Spark will appreciate the wide draw, while pay to respect Arctic Willow (Russell Savige) and Gotta Grin (Ferns).

In race one, the first race of 2018, newcomer Unpossible for Andrew Lasker would be looking for a strong performance.

Sunrise Ali (Savige) showed improvement last start and a repeat run has her in the firing line in race two.

Hosking, the leading trainer for 2017, turned around Real Stylist’s form last start and there is no reason he cannot go on with the job in race three.

Leta Smith will be hopeful her charge Mudrush can take advantage of box eight and should be suited in the racefive field.

The main chances appear to have drawn the outside boxes in race seven, and it is hard to split Sweet Crystal (Hosking) and Hawk Glide (Ferns).

Simon Nathanael will be looking for an improved effort from his charge Jetmag Sally in race eight.

Dr Kiaralee for Richard Smith has been racing better of late and is not without a chance in a tricky race nine.

The outside runners again appear to be the main players in race 10, with Hawke’s Special (Pickard) and Zamlee Magic (Hosking) having great chances.

Imitate (Leta Smith) from the inside draw is the one to beat in race 11.
