Bullet right on target for win

-

SMASHNIAK Bullet stretches out in distance for trainer Brad Yates, and there is every indication the 537m journey might suit in the race-five $1750 NT Government Sprint at Winnellie Park tonight.

Our Josie (for reigning trainers’ champion Jamie Hosking) from the inside draw may well take running down, while Hawke’s Special (Carol Pickard) is the one they all have to beat.

Up-and-coming young trainer Harrison Brown would be hopeful Princess Smiffy brings her best form as box eight should suit in race one.

Richard Smith may not get a better chance for his charge Ruby Doo to break her maiden status out of box eight in race two.

Dark Kepper (Graeme Ferns) appears to be ideally drawn out wide and no doubt is right in the mix in race three.

Although drawn a little awkwardly, Real Stylist (Hosking) has the ability to overcome the race-four field over 383m, and will be tough to hold out.

Underestimated trainer Simon Nathanael brought out the best of Jetmag Sally last start and a repeat performance has her right in the mix again in race six.

Elite Falcon (Leta Smith) has drawn ideally and will be hard to hold out with last-start winner Zambora Queenie (Hosking) in race seven.

Russell Savige will be looking to keep up his good start for the year with the ever-reliable Gold Act and new acquisition Arabian Khaleese engaged in race eight.

Andrew Lasker continues on his merry way, and it is hard not to give his runners Meale’s Chance and Bombay Rock a real hope of continuing his good run in race nine.

Both Sweet Crystal (Hosking) and Hawk Glide (Ferns) can produce strong runs and if near their best would take beating in race 10.

Hosking may have a nice new kennel acquisition in Vampire Wish, and it would pay to monitor him closely out of box eight in race 11.
