MARINES HEADING TO THE TOP END

Oh bugger, I have to start booking in my sons’ haircuts now before they arrive ... all the barber shops will be booked out for months! Jodie Badger

Ha ha ha ... there’s a reason for this ... and it’s probably because of the antics of those a few hundred ks north of us!!! Phil Baker Excellent! More hands to help clean up Marcus aftermath. Phuc

Welcome them with open arms. Never cause problems. Strong injections into our economy. Look forward to seeing some fancy hardware flying overhead. Alan ON ZERO ROAD TOLL

By setting a target for zero you are setting yourself up for failure. A fact of life is there will always be fatalities on the roads. There were in horse and cart days. David

This sounds just like a rehashed Victorian road campaign. Total unachievable target but seeing as they have run out of ideas they have to try something. If you want results how about fixing the highway through Coolalinga? Two lives so far this year. Spend some money on our roads not silly ads. As for sleeping “pedestrians” on our roads, I don’t think these people watch much TV. Rob This will only work if people are taught how to drive not just get a licence. If they were serious they would have more police targeting poor driving habits not just the high revenue items. How about booking drivers for failing to keep left, indicate and give way for a start. Yes I am all for ZERO deaths but unless every driver takes responsibility all the money in the world will not fix the issue. I think this is a clever action plan to support increasing all the easy to issue fines for a revenue increase. Mick ON MUSEUM POSSIBLY GETTING THE AXE

■ Sooner you make the announcement the less irresponsible you’ll look. Especially when you plan on using this cyclone as an excuse for all the massive debt you’ve placed on our kids come budget time this year. Shane Nouwens

Finally, the current politicians heard the voices of the voters. Unlike the previous government who sold TIO and port against community expectations and got rolled badly during the last elections. Listen to the voters and thou shall continue to rule. Jimmy

Politicians and their advisers’ thought bubbles! Glad the community forced their views on this very consultative government. Nori ON PUTTING ELECTRICITY UNDERGROUND

It’s worth every penny futureproofing Darwin. Just do it. Mark Taylor

Forget the proposed museum, Barneson Boulevard and you’re almost there! Vicky Hunt

Ohhh, Cyclone Marcus thought you said put them on the ground not underground ... Xristos Mellios

There’s no trees left to fall on the powerlines. Problem solved. Just saved us 170 mill. Thanks NT government. Dale Burnside
