The short-term gain will do nothing to ensure the underground water table is not polluted with contaminating garbage, as happens everywhere CSG puts down its roots. But the underground water around Katherine is already in ruin from the firefighting foam run-off at Tindal Air Base. Locals are already not able to drink the underground water there, so I guess they will now just bend over and go with the flow. Dennis Wells
