DARWIN- BASED recruitment and HR consulting services provider CGH Group has completed a major business coup acquiring the businesses of Downing Teal (DT).
Founded in 1966, Downing Teal is a leader in executive search, professional recruitment and labour hire services to the mining, construction and defence industries through its Downing Teal and DT workforce brands.
CGH, a Territory owned, nationally operated company, started from humble beginnings in Darwin in 2008. It is now one of Australia’s largest privately owned recruitment and human resources consulting firms. It employs more than 4000 skilled people over 20 offices nationally.
The acquisition brings CGH Group’s annual sales to more than $300m.
CEO and Co-Founder of CGH Group Rob Blenkinship said he was excited by the opportunity to partner with Downing Teal.

Downing Teal will join the CGH Group stable next week alongside its other specialist HR brands; CoreStaff, Beilby Recruitment, OPRA Psychology Group, Goal Indigenous Services and Vmac Employment Solutions.
The group provides a suite of recruitment and HR services including labour hire and workforce management, executive search and permanent recruitment, professional contracting, and industrial/organisational psychology services.
The transaction is expected to add significant value and opportunity to both the existing Downing Teal business and the broader CGH Group.
