THIS new UK miniseries about a botched police case will have your blood boiling. The real-life murders of a couple, their daughter and six-year-old twin grandsons was at first blamed on one of the victims – their adopted daughter Sheila, played impressively by Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas (pictured). Her brother Jeremy (Freddie Fox) called the police claiming his father had rung to say his sister, a schizophrenic, was “going crazy with a gun” before the call was dramatically cut short. UK police swarmed the house and discovered the five family members shot dead. Sheila’s body was inside, found with the shotgun that had killed them all. The gruesome 1985 killings were quickly written off by investigators as a murder-suicide – but all was not as it seemed. The tainted crime scene covered the tracks of the real killer. It’s a fascinating watch that should satisfy true-crime fans.

WHAT the world needs now is the dulcet tones and poetry of the patron saint of home owners Kevin McCloud (pictured), who returns in a new season of Grand DesignsUK. And what an epic premiere it is, with McCloud delivering his opening monologue for tonight’s episode while abseiling down the cliff face near the construction site of Andy Stakes and his partner Jeanette Hardy’s dream home. This couple think big, bold and risky, buying an old military listening station perched on the precipice of a remote and rugged piece of Scotland. Stakes once sailed the Atlantic and dreams of spending his retirement at one with the sea. The house they plan to wedge into the side of the mountain will hopefully deliver spectacular maritime views, but will it be a nightmare getting the thing built?
