Campaign full of gratitude
AUSTRALIA'S hidden heroes who worked tirelessly through a turbulent period of natural disasters and a global pandemic will be honoured in a new campaign, Thanks A Million, launched today.
The News Corp Australia initiative invites readers to nominate those who have gone above and beyond in a year of drought, bushfires and throughout the COVID-19 crisis and to publicly say thank you.
The campaign will culminate in a national digital honour wall on all News Corp
Australia websites with the names of nominees published in printed newspapers across the country.
News Corp Australasia executive chairman Michael Miller said the campaign would acknowledge anyone from frontline health, emergency and essential service workers through to teachers, neighbours, supermarket workers and volunteers who all pitched in.
“The heart of our communities has shone brighter than ever this year,” Mr Miller said.
“We’re recognising the strangers taking in families affected by bushfire, our neighbours sharing essential items and the brave professionals and volunteers risking their own health and safety to help others. Australians have shown what we can do when we support one another. This campaign encourages all of us to pause and say thank you.”

News Corp Australia’s community ambassador Penny Fowler said the campaign recognised our unsung heroes.
