AN action packed school holiday calendar is awaiting Territoria­ns with almost 500 activities and events available for children and families.

The 478 activities include sporting events and competitio­ns, movie nights, lip sync battles, film festivals, horse riding, arts and crafts, cultural activities, face painting, mini music festival, bush and camping trips and an Amazing Race.

Highlights of the holiday program include:

Darwin has 76 engaging activities such as an exciting three day youth camp, a youth after hours program with Danila Dilba and mini music festival with Sasha King’s Two Two One Mental Health Charity.

The Shak will be open every day including late night Fridays and will now be open on Saturdays.

At Karama Timmy Duggan will be delivering Hoops 4 Health program and there will also be some pool parties at Nightcliff and Casuarina pool.

Palmerston has 70 activities including sports events, horse riding, learning first aid and arts, cultural activities.

Alice Springs has 69 activities including the GET OUT Youth Festival with athletics, soccer, AFL and rugby league, softball and aquatics skills in the indoor pool.

There are also movies at the cinema, screen printing, Phoney Film Festival short film competitio­n, online cartooning and lantern making.

Katherine has 95 organised events including arts pro

grams, fun outdoor activities, Nitmiluk Gorge cruises.

Tennant Creek/Barkly has 65 activities including movie nights, bush trips, basketball competitio­n, an Amazing Race, dodge ball, football, soccer, badminton, arts and craft, face painting, discos, lip sync battle, team building and many other fun activities.

East Arnhem has 103 activities including sports, arts and crafts, audio and music programs, dance, movies, board games, festivals, colour runs and much more.

Most events and activities are free, and all follow COVID-19 health guidelines.
