Alice series rides in on Netflix
AN Alice Springs television series employing 400 people will get worldwide screen time.
Netflix will screen MaveriX, exposing the scenic Red Centre to 183 million subscribers in 190 countries.
The Australian Children’s Television Foundation, one of the globe’s premier children’s content producers and distributors, sold the global rights to Netflix.
Culture Minister Lauren Moss said: “Our government’s $9 million strategic investment over four years has seen significant growth of our screen sector and the development of significant local productions, including the SBS series Robbie Hood, Top End Wedding, Jimmy Shu’s Taste of the Territory, and the recent feature film High Ground.”
