TERRIBLE IDEA …

JUST when we thought Darwin was starting to shake our (undeserved) reputation as a redneck bogan wonderland, our Chief Minister has decided to grow a mullet. Michael Gunner says he will sport the short sides and long back to raise money for mental health after being issued a challenge on Hot 100.

WITH SOME SUPPORT …

NEWS of Gunner’s new hairdo drew plenty of reaction, including from the owner of one of the best mullets in Australian sporting history. Tennis legend Pat Cash wrote to the Chief Minister on Facebook: “Brilliant idea Michael and for a great cause. As you know I’m passionate about mental wellbeing, so if you can pull off a Pat Cash mullet I will gladly supply the headband to top it off.”

BUT NOT MANY FANS

BUT not everyone was impressed with the Gunner mullet. Education union boss Jarvis Ryan didn’t hold back: “Instead of trying to be Mr Cool and Mr Popular to burnish your own selfimage, how about you focus on actually governing and giving Territorians a timeline for when interstate Covid restrictions will be eased.” Ouch!

FOR ALL ETERNITY

MINDIL Beach goers on Cracker Night would have come across a number of signs informing them they’d be photographed. “Please be aware that by entering this area, you consent to your voice, name and/or likeness being used, without compensation in films and tapes for exploitation in any and all media, whether now known or hereafter devised, for eternity.” Well, that’s a quick and easy way of getting permission from people! Though Bushie is pretty sure anyone in a public area can be legally photographed without their permission anyway …

WHAT THE CROC?

NT News snapper Glenn Campbell discovered his photographs aren’t just good for the front page of the paper recently. A friend who had been scrolling Tinder discovered a cracker croc photo and showed Campbell, only for him to discover in shock it was his own photo. Campbell told Bushie’s spies he only hoped the female user was getting a few bites.
