MAKE WAKING UP MORE OBNOXIOUS WITH CATS AND MINI-GAMES Free with IAP | alarmmon.com

- [ SHAUN PRESCOTT]

Unless you’re a toddler yet to learn how grinding life actually is, waking up can be hard. Which is the problem AlarmMon addresses specifically; in particular, waking up is achievable, but how can we incentivise staying awake? Via ‘celebrity’ (or K-pop themed) alarm tones and mini-games, of course.

This ad-supported alarm clock has a huge array of both free and paid alarm skins, ranging from K-pop stings, cat screeches and alarms which require you to solve a times table question in order to switch it off. Which is cruel not only to yourself but to whomever might be lying next to you — especially if you can’t add.

It’s possible to pay a fee (on top of the microtransaction-ed skins) to create an ad-free experience in AlarmMon, and if you actually like the app, you’d be well-advised to do so because having to swat away pop-ups first thing in the morning will bring about an early death.

A decent novelty if you’re, y’know, a bit “out there”, but otherwise one for teenagers, probably.
