MultiTimer

BECOME THE MASTER OF YOUR TIME Free; pro version $7.99 | persapps.com

You’re cooking potatoes that have to be in the oven for 45 minutes. The meat needs to slow cook for eight hours. The sauce needs to simmer for 15 minutes. 10 minutes before serving, you need to microwave your veggies. You could do some mental backflips to figure out how to time all this, or you could download MultiTimer and just set all these timers up in advance and hit go.

It’s a super clean interface, meaning it’s easy to find what you’re looking for and discover what everything does without any sort of tutorial. You can colour-code each timer to your own personal taste (although, you will need to upgrade to the Pro version, $7.99, to access additional colours and other goodies), plus the timers can be labelled according to activities, and given a dedicated icon.

You can count down, enable a stopwatch, time laps, start an interval timer (maybe the worst exercise ever) and set up a pomodorostyle timer. You can also rearrange the order of your timers on the main app page and set selected timers to display on your Today view.

If you have to juggle multiple timed things at once, this app is invaluable.
