Roger Anderson built an army of humansounding phone bots to stop telemarketers from harassing people. The bots say things like, “Uh-huh,” or “Oh geez, hang on, there’s a bee on my arm. You keep talking. I’m just going to stay quiet because of this bee.” So, when his computer was infected with malware, he unleashed his robot army on the scammer’s call centre, calling 100 times on 20 channels simultaneously, putting them out of business.
