Lenovo Tab 3

-

AN AFFORDABLE 7-INCH TABLET.

AVAILABLE FOR UNDER $100, the Lenovo Tab costs less than even the most affordable dedicated e-reader. The tablet has a 7-inch IPS screen, with a decent but not exciting 1,024 x 600 resolution. Still, in use, it’s reasonable sharp, and the backlighting is even enough for reading that’s easy on the eyes.

The Tab 3 has a 1.3GHz Cortex-A53 quad- core CPU, with 1GB of RAM and a larger-than-most 16GB of storage. The unit runs Android 5.1.1, but is snappy and smooth to use.

The Tab 3 does not have a cellular connection, but does feature Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, front and rear cameras, a 3.5mm jack and a microSD card slot.

The tablet measures in at 19.1 x 10 x 0.88cm, weighs 260 grams and is clad in fairly tough feeling plastic. The efficient hardware combined with a 3,450mAh battery put on a good show, and handle around 8 hours of video playback, or over 11 hours of reading with the backlight down low.
