Plantronics BackBeat Pro 2

A CHAMPAGNE PERFORMER ON A BEER BUDGET.

-

LOOKING FOR NOISE cancellation on a budget without wanting to make sacrifices to sound quality or fit and finish? These extremely well-priced headphones should be on the opt of your shopping list. They’re a streamlined unit and look good too, a little plasticky but with some clever design details such as wood grain to hide that, and a rotating jog dial controls your music. Parrot’s Ziks are the only other headphones to automatically pause your music when you take them off, and they’ll lighten your wallet by another $300. On your head and music playing, you’ll find that they give the big boys a good run for their money, feeling strong across all frequencies. Bass response could be better, though this is a trade off for having (relatively) slender cups. Battery also punches hard, and while Plantronics quotes 24 hours, that’s a little optimistic. The only downside is that they start to pinch after several hours of use, but for short to medium use, these are a winner.
