The fact that this is a small, portable karaoke machine would have split our audience already into two camps: those who are backing away slowly, and those (like myself) whose eyes have just lit up and are already preparing a list of songs for their repertoire. This Yorkshire pudding-looking device is only 11.5cm in diameter and 3cm high, making it super compact and stylish. It boasts AUX out, USB-C, HDMI, micro SD card, Ethernet and USB 2.0 ports, plus 802.11n/b/g/ac Wi-Fi. It comes with two mics and is available in Just Pink and Day Green (although, we’d like to know what sort of day they’ve had to see this particular tone of green). The companion app is where all the song-picking takes place — the Popsical itself is merely the conduit, allowing you to play songs queued on your phone to the TV. Advanced features of the app include being able to control the volume of each singer, and set the speed and pitch of each track. There are multiple languages to choose from regarding song titles, plus the option to upgrade to the Pro version for thousands more songs. Now, if they could just release a more neutral-coloured version...
