DON’T WHIP IT OUT IN PUBLIC

COMMUNAL CHARGING STATIONS COULD GIVE YOU PHONE MALWARE

-

Using the public phone charging stations at airports is quite common, but what we don’t realise is how easy it is to have an enterprising hacker compromise the device. USB charging stations can be rewired to access stored data when a mobile is plugged in. Hackers can even hide custom-made cables in charging stations. Any device plugged into that cable promptly gets ‘jacked’.
