WATERMINDER

- [ SHAUN PRESCOTT ]

TRACK YOUR WATER CONSUMPTION, BECAUSE WHY NOT. Drinking water keeps you alive, and as an added bonus, if you drink the correct amount of water, you will feel even more pleasantly alive. So it’s a good thing that apps like WaterMinder exists: a way to track your water intake. The thrust of it is simple, with a clear illustration of a human which fills with blue the closer you get to your ideal water intake based on your weight. You’ll need to tell the app when you’ve had some water (phones can’t tell yet, sadly), by pressing the ‘+’ icon and specifying how much you’ve just consumed. Meanwhile, the app will send you push notifications when it thinks you’re due for a crisp, cool glass of good ol’ H20. There are all manner of stats and settings you can tinker with in order to make sure you don’t forget to drink water while perusing the figures or watching the footy, and while the app has subtle ad support, you can purchase them away for only $1.30. Overall, a simple and user-friendly app.
