HoverZoom

ENJOY IMAGES WITH A LITTLE MAGNIFICATION. Free | www.hoverzoom.net

-

LOVE A GOOD image? As long as a website has direct links to images, you can view them all in close to fullscreen size with this handy tool for Chrome. Built for sites like Imgur, Flickr and Reddit, this browser extension magnifies images when you hover your cursor over the thumbnail of the one you want to view in all its glory. It’s as easy as that — install, hover, enjoy.

But it’s important to keep in mind that there is a slight delay before you can view the image fullscreen — although HoverZoom has a remedy for that if you want to speed things up. Head to the Options page for the extension in Chrome and set the Delays value to zero. Although, to be fair, that lag is quite negligible.

HoverZoom isn’t a new tool (it’s been around for a few years already) but it was pulled for a time due to malware. A new opensource version called HoverZoom+ is also available for Chrome, if you’d prefer, which functions the same way as this original.
