BOOMERANG

ADD SOME TIMING TO YOUR MAILING. Free | www.boomeranggmail.com

-

Gmail is already a relatively intuitive and full-featured mail service, but the Boomerang extension for Chrome adds some awesomely useful and much-needed functionality. In short, this extension is a time-based email manager. Specifically, you can schedule emails for later, cancelling or rescheduling them from a master list if you need to and even setting up recurring emails. You can can hide emails from your inbox and set reminders so you can deal with them at a more appropriate time (aka postpone), such as the day before a bill is due or before a meeting needs to be arranged. You can also do some nifty things like get ‘read receipts’ for whether someone opens your email or clicks a link within, or get a notification if someone doesn’t reply to your message in a certain window of time. This obviously makes it ideal for anyone who deals with stupendous amounts of mail traffic for their work or otherwise, but it can also suit someone just after a simple reminding or scheduling tool.
