iMessages makes texting easy, with users being able to text from an Apple computer or their iPhones. However, Android users don’t have a similar alternative. Enter MightyText. This tool syncs texts into a web client which can then be used to message contacts. The ecosystem, however, needs to be set up before users can begin messaging. The MightyText app must be installed on an Android phone, with permission being granted for the app to access your messages and phone calls, then the Chrome extension can be added to the browser. Once set up, the interface is easy to use and offers some customisation options.

With MightyText, you can get notifications for calls, texts and phone battery life directly on your desktop. You can send GIFs to contacts; however, they may receive just the link to the GIF. A pro version is available for a monthly fee which includes advanced features like unlimited texting, message templates and scheduled messaging.
