Through its companion app, the smart lock will detect your presence and unlock or lock your door for you. Powered by replaceable lithium batteries, it won’t stop you from manually using your key if you wish, but it adds a layer of security many other smart locks don’t offer. If someone enters your house without permission, it will send you an alert. Also, if a friend or workman needs access to your house, you can allow permission for certain times all through the app. The device itself sits on the inside of the door on top of the existing lock and is of a very attractive design, if still a little bulky.
