FACEBOOK FRIENDS CAN NOW WATCH A VIDEO SIMULTANEOUSLY

With Facebook’s latest Watch Party feature, multiple users can view the same video simultaneously, bringing the ‘live video’ experience to pre-recorded content. This will allow friends (or ‘friends’) to react and interact with these videos in real-time as they watch together. Currently, the function is limited to members of groups (a certain number have been selected on a trial basis to begin with) and it needs to be set up by group administrators. There’s also no way to schedule future viewings, instead the functionality is limited to curating a playlist of videos for the group to engage with, but keep an eye out for a more fully-implemented Watch Party in the future.
