QLD POLICE WILL USE VR TRAINING IN FIGHT WITH TERRORISM
FACILITY UPGRADE BRINGS MORE TECH SMARTS.
A 140-hectare Westgate complex in Wacol is in the process of being refurbished for the use of Queensland Police, who’ll use the upgraded facility to train for anti-terrorist events and other related emergencies as part of a $46.7 million training hub. The plan currently involves the use of virtual reality headsets throughout the ‘village’, which features such areas as a train station, pub, caravan park and shopping mall, as well as private houses.
