ADD CONTRAST

Create a new Curves Adjustment Layer: you need an untouched RGB channel to boost contrast and you already reduced the brightness in Step 1. When the dialog box opens, click three quarters of the way up the curve and drag up and left. Next, drag a quarter of the way up the curve and drag down and right. This will add a huge boost of contrast that you’ll adjust in the next step.
