Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

GREAT MOBA WITH LOCAL SUPPORT Free | www.mobilelegends.com/

RELEASING ROUGHLY A year before Arena of Valor, Mobile Legends is easily its biggest mobile competitor in the west. Both games share a lot of the same elements, although Mobile Legends has a slightly less Chinese-lore based design feel to its characters, as well as a larger range of modes and features. Like AoV, however, Mobile Legends is also a Chinese designed game, and shares the same rough playbook as its competitor.

Where things differ however is in design and support – Mobile Legends isn’t as attractive nor are its controls as tight as AoV. Its characters aren’t as balanced across the board, and it can be more confusing in the early stages as the game floods you with trinkets, tasks, and quests. Additionally, heroes and skins are significantly more expensive than those in AoV, as there isn’t any system that helps you build a relatively decent roster without paying some cash.

However, Mobile Legends has Australian support, with both local servers and support for Australian based guilds and groups. Its matchmaking system also focuses on grouping Oceanic players together to optimise things, so play isn’t too laggy or difficult. I noticed a huge difference in response times and consistent server response compared to Arena of Valor. This was the case across both Android and iOS. Additionally, its group and guild system is much better, making it simpler to join games with friends or add players from matches to your friends list.
