HALF OF PC APPLICATIO­NS ARE OUT OF DATE

OUT-OF-DATE APPLICATIO­NS ARE PUTTING PC USERS AT RISK.

New research from security company Avast has revealed that more than half (55%) of PC applicatio­ns installed worldwide are out-of-date. The three most neglected programs, with the most users ignoring the latest security update, are Adobe Shockwave, VLC Media Player and Skype, with 96%, 94% and 94% (respective­ly) of the software’s user base not running the latest security patch.
