One of the bigger impediments to current AR glasses is that the tech required for AR image rendering isn’t light enough to wear comfortably. One CES vendor hopes to get around this with digital spectacles that connect to your smartphone through a cable. The Crystal AR glasses are still kind of bulky, including projectors and cameras to make sure the AR is syncing with the real world, but the smartphone connected spectacles should be much lighter (and much cheaper) than anything currently available.
