SWIFTLY SWITCH BETWEEN DEVICES

Continuity is a suite of features in macOS and iOS that saves you time when working across devices. The devices must be signed in to the same iCloud account, have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on, and (in some cases) Handoff too – see General settings.

For many apps, Handoff enables you to move a task between different devices. To move to your Mac, click the icon left of Finder in the Dock. On iOS, open the app switcher and tap the banner at the foot of the screen.

You can also use AirDrop to share directly to a nearby Mac or iOS device. Tap a recipient in the top row of iOS’s Share sheet; they’ll need to set who to receive from: in Control Center’s top-left group on iOS, or the AirDrop window on a Mac. You can send directly from many Mac apps by choosing File > Share > AirDrop.
