Not quite science...

- David Hollingworth, Editor

One of the issues with asking people what they think of any product, is that you will only ever get the tip of the iceberg. Last issue, to coincide with our redesign, I asked readers to get in touch and let me know what they like the most – and the least – in the magazine.

By and large, it appears we’re getting it more or less right. Many traditional readers, who have been reading this title since its incarnation as PC User, enjoy the balance of reviews, features, and how-to articles, which is neat. So far so good!

However, a lot of readers are a little less invested in games content. Personally, I don’t think you can have a modern magazine about modern technology without covering one of its fastest moving segments, and one that drives a lot of technology uptake. And, as I said, I’m sure there are many less forthright readers who are quite interested – I myself am a gamer as well as a devout devourer of tech, and I am sure I’m not alone.

That said, I will certainly keep things in perspective, and keep a lid on the amount of games coverage we offer.

Finally, it’s that time of the year again, and we’ve got our annual Australian PC Awards event coming up, where we recognise the best PC and personal technology in the industry. We’d love you to help us out, so point your browser at www.techradar.com/au/australian-pc-awards to find out how you can be a part.

Get in touch – tell me what you want to see more of in TechLife in the coming issues.
