THE HERTZ LOCKER SERIES X CHANGES THE GAME W I T H 1 2 0 H Z S U P P O R T.

Xbox Series X is the first console to support 120Hz, which is a pretty big deal… providing you know what a hertz is. Simply put, it’s a unit of frequency that’s equal to one cycle per second. In gaming terms, hertz is directly tied to framerate; a television that supports 60Hz is capable of displaying games at 60fps. While all modern sets support 60Hz, in the past, 120Hz signals have generally only been supported by PC monitors. Thankfully, more and more TVs (albeit expensive ones) now support 120Hz, like the LG’s C8 OLED or the Samsung NU8000. That’s good news because Xbox Series X is capable of outputting games at 120fps. While 4K/120fps is probably an unrealistic target for Series X games, don’t be surprised if some studios offer 120fps at lower resolutions via a ShadowOfTheTomb Raider- aping ‘performance mode’.
