Not too bright
To help his daughter overcome a fear of the dark, my brother bought her a nightlight. After putting her into bed, he plugged in the light and turned it on. It didn’t work. He checked the bulb, tried other power points and tested other electrical items. After much complaining about faulty products he gave up, turned on the hall light, then switched off his daughter’s – at which point the light-sensitive nightlight came on! His glowing red face was enough to light the room by itself.
