The Carmichael Rail Project will transport coal from the Galilee Basin to the Port of Abbot Point via a 388km multi-user standard gauge rail line, providing an alternate and shorter route to Abbot Point compared to the existing narrow gauge system via Moranbah. 40mtpa Phase One capacity by 2020
