When a 27-year-old Queensland beautician was arrested in Bali in 2004 with a bodyboard bag stuffed with 4.1kg of marijuana, the media interest was frenzied. Sentenced to 20 years in Bali’s notorious Kerobokan prison in 2005, Schapelle Corby has always maintained her innocence. Adding to the speculatio­n was her outspoken family and accusation­s of baggage tampering. Corby was released from prison in 2014 and returned to Australia in 2017.
