Schapelle Corby

When a 27-year-old Queensland beautician was arrested in Bali in 2004 with a bodyboard bag stuffed with 4.1kg of marijuana, the media interest was frenzied. Sentenced to 20 years in Bali’s notorious Kerobokan prison in 2005, Schapelle Corby has always maintained her innocence. Adding to the speculation was her outspoken family and accusations of baggage tampering. Corby was released from prison in 2014 and returned to Australia in 2017.

In 2001, Bradley Murdoch shot Peter Falconio and abducted Joanne Lees in the Northern Territory. She escaped, but Falconio has never been found.
