TROUT have dominated reef bottom Johnstonecatches in the River shallow to mid depths along with plenty of quality spanish mackerel along the reef edges on trolled garfish and lures. Spaniards are also taking floated pilchards and live baits. Sharks have been prominent and stealing many fish. Mourilyan Harbour has fished well on building tides with some nice grunter caught on the drain flats on strip baits.
