TROPICAL CYCLONE DEBBIE FORECAST
• Low pressure system in the Coral Sea, south of Papua New Guinea, is moving south. • There is greater than 50 per cent chance of it developing. • It would be called Tropical Cyclone Debbie. • The bureau is predicting landfall on Monday or Tuesday next week, but indications suggest it could be Sunday. • It is forecast to hit between Cooktown and Mackay. • It could bring storm surges, flooding, rain and storms to surrounding areas.
