NORTHERN CALAMARI
Available wild-caught, these marine cephalopods have thick, dark brown-green bodies with long side fins. Most consumers eat calamari crumbed, which has become a staple at fish ‘n chip stores across Australia. It consists of batter-coated and deep fried squid. Calamari is served plain, with salt and lemon on the side.
