Dr Lee Ong – Originally a Melbourne boy Dr Ong rotated through Darwin, Cairns and Townsville, before completing his training in Brisbane. He spent the next two years in Perth where he trained in onco-plasty at the prestigiou­s breast unit of Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Dr Ong visits Cairns fortnightl­y to provide general surgical and specialise­d breast surgical services at Gardens Medical.

Randini De Mel – An accredited practicing dietician, Dr De Mel completed her Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at Monash University in Melbourne. Dr De Mel has moved from Melbourne to Cairns to join the Gardens Medical team as a full-time dietician. Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology Collection, including all blood tests, is also located at Gardens Medical for your convenienc­e.
