Renewables the answer

I WRITE in response to John Cameron’s letter to the editor (22/7) “Renewables clearly better”.

I agree with Mr Cameron’s letter. Wind and solar, and may I add biofuels, hydropower, geothermal, biomass, tidal power and wave power are all growing industries and very real options as we move forward.

It is as clear as the blue sky above us that we need to move away from the old dirty fuels like coal.

That is why the Queensland Labor Government has a renewable target of 50 per cent by 2030. The only major party in Queensland to have a real strategy in place.
