DFO elation on craft shop entry

-

CONFIDENCE BOOST: Kaisercraft has signed a five-year DFO lease. A LEADING Australian scrapbooking and craft company has signed a long-term lease at DFO Cairns, signalling further confidence in the resurgent Mugrave Rd shopping centre.

Kaisercraft has moved into a 527sq m retail space in Shop 32, DFO Cairns, taking out a five-year lease at a gross rental of $100,000 per annum.

“This is one of several recent leasing deals that have taken DFO Cairns vacancies to an all-time low,” said a Sentinel Property Group spokesman.

It comes as DFO Cairns undergoes a transformation following its $39.7 million sale to Sentinel earlier last year.

Several high-profile tenants have opened at the centre, which is set to open a new outdoor dining precinct early next year.

“The property has never looked or performed better and there is still a lot more improvements to come,” Sentinel managing director Warren Ebert told the Cairns Post last week.

“It has been hard work but it shows that retail success is possible despite all the naysayers.

“Retailing is not dead, it is changing, and you have to evolve and stay on the front foot to succeed.” EASY ACCESS TO COOK HWY. DA IN PLACE
