Mr O’Shannessey and his wife Veronica, who are both DJs, have been organising the event since it started at Lake Placid in 2000.
They are known locally as DJ DeanO and DJ Venus.
They own and operate Silver Gem Enterprises at the Cairns Night Markets, where they specialise in Sterling Silver and gemstones.
Mr O’Shannessey said Australian tech house producers Thankyou City, and Canberra musician Doppel would perform their original hits.
Thankyou City are known across the country’s festival and club scene for their “slick and sophisticated” take on deep techno, house and electronica.
“A massive line up of local DJs and producers will be in support across both stages,” Mr O’Shannessey said.
They will be performing from 10.30pm to 1am on the rainforest stage.
Visual mapping and stage lighting will be controlled by Jam Production’s Mick and Justin.
A laser show that will shoot life and colour into the rainforest venue will be operated by FNQ lasers Dylan and Shawn. The lasers will interact with the rotating geometric shapes.
