Mareeba Rifle Club Tablelands Company of Archers
The Tableland Company of Archers hosted the Archery Queensland Short Range Championships on Sunday last in fairly windy conditions. Only two archers from the Cairns region (Barrier Coast Archers) and two archers from the Tableland Company of Archers competed from the northern region. Scores were correlated with South Queensland electronically. Full results will be known next week. A Canberra round and a Junior Canberra round were shot. Results Canberra Round: (consists of 30 arrows each at 60, 50 and 40m on a 122cm face) Veteran Men’s Compound: G Hinsby 841 (BCA) Open Men’s Compound: R Ayling 753 (BCA) Veteran Women’s Compound: H Bochow (TCA) Results Junior Canberra Round: (consists of 30 arrows each at 40, 30 and 20m on a 122cm face). Cub Boys Recurve: N Prince 793 (TCA) Next week members will shoot practice Field for the coming NQAA Field Championships. Practice and shooting starts 9.30am. A Field working bee will be conducted as well. Coaching will be conducted for beginners next Sunday October 1, from 9am to 12pm at Kerribee Park. Archery Range, off Springs Road, Mareeba.
