No conspiracy on climate

-

PETER Champion (2/10) writes that the Tolga-based ‘relaxivism’ think tank has uncovered a conspiracy involving the Bureau of Meteorology, Tim Nicholls and the old Communist Party of Australia.

Fact check: the CPA ceased standing in elections in 1961, having lost its deposit for decades. Tim Nicholls is a longstanding member of the LNP who believes in selling public power stations;and BOM is staffed by scientists, not socialists.

He distorts what I said about Queensland’s September temperatures by omitting “since reliable temperature records began”.

Then he talks about reliable temperature records from ancient civilisations on the opposite side of the world, which predate the invention of the thermometer. Me? I’ll trust the experts.
