Each November, thousands of Sikhs celebrate the birth anniversar­y of their spiritual leader, Baba Guru Nanak who was born 549 years ago in the town of Nankana Sahib in Pakistan's Punjab province. The celebratio­n is a reminder for devotees to follow their founder’s teachings and overcome their vices such as greed, attachment, anger and pride.
