Rita throws in the towel at MTV awards
LOOKS like Rita Ora didn’t really have time to get ready before she hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards yesterday.
Ora, 26, sported a white terry towelling robe, complete with diamonds and a full face of makeup, on the red carpet in London.
The look was part of a skit where she pretended to be invited to the show at the last minute.
In it, she was seen being invited to be host at the last minute and rushing through the London Underground in her dressing gown to get to the ceremony in Wembley
After the show opened with Eminem, Rita appeared in the same robe, and apologised for not having time to get ready.
Singer Jessica Mauboy was named Best Australian Act at the awards, which celebrate the European market.
Coldplay was named best rock act, while the best-alternative prize went to Thirty Seconds to Mars.
There was no equivalent of Kanye West crashing the stage after losing in 2006, or Miley Cyrus smoking a joint in Amsterdam in 2013.
The awards are held in a different European city each year, with winners selected by fans across the continent. Next year’s ceremony will be held in Bilbao, Spain.
