Lorde to grace stage

-

THE ARIA Awards are getting bigger by the day if you count the stars set to perform on Aussie music’s top night of the year.

After Harry Styles was announced to take to the stage at the awards on November 28 comes news New Zealand singer Lorde will take a break from her Australian tour to also perform on the night.

“Lorde is an amazingly talented artist and one of the biggest acts in the world right now,” ARIA chief executive Dan Rosen said.

“We are so excited to welcome her back to the ARIA stage in what is sure to be a magic moment from this incredible performer.”

Lorde — Ella YelichO’Connor (left) — made a triumphant return to the charts this year with her hit single Green Light and charttopping album Melodrama.

The 21-year-old is nominated for international artist of the year with a total of 19 awards handed out on the night at the Star Event Centre. Best female artist nominees include Jessica Mauboy, Sia, Meg Mac, Julia Jacklin and Amy Shark while up for best male artist are Paul Kelly, Vance Joy and Dan Sultan.
