Kangaroo props get all-clear

-

KANGAROOS props David Klemmer and Aaron Woods have been cleared to play in Friday’s Rugby League World Cup quarterfinal against Samoa after no charges were laid from Round 3 matches.

Klemmer was penalised and on report after a tackle in which his head and shoulder clashed with ball-carrier Chris Saab’s head, leaving the Lebanon second-rower concussed during Australia’s 34-0 win at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night.

Woods was booked for a lifting tackle on Tim Mannah, with his rival prop later declaring Woods had tried his hardest to put him down safely.

The World Cup match review committee yesterday found there was no case to answer from either incident.
