$100,000 PROMISE TO RELOCATE SURF LIFE SAVING CLUB

-

ELLIS Beach Surf Life Saving Club would receive funding to shift its clubhouse to the safe side of the Captain Cook Highway, if the LNP is elected. LNP candidate for Barron River Michael Trout (right) said the party would invest $100,000 to prepare submissions for a development approval to relocate the club’s rooms to the beach side of the highway. Mr Trout said the project would eliminate the risk associated with junior Surf Life Saving Club members crossing the highway. “The project is vital for the safety of the members, especially the Nippers, who have been negotiating the busy Captain Cook Highway traffic for too long,” he said. “After consulting closely with the committee we feel this project will be of great benefit to the club and also the local community.”
