Sarah Isaacs, Koah, (letters 4/12). The pilot has applied for the extra flights for when he moves to Koah. The noise of an aircraft taking off last for five or 10 minutes. Someone cutting grass, or a chainsaw, or a tractor or truck would make more noise for a longer time. He has to apply for those number of flights to cover himself because of the council. I would love to see a Spitfire flying around. Bill, Brinsmead Reef guard? Spoils the view. Leave the fish. Stick the bad dream in Munro Martin Park. Matchett, Parramatta Park Cyclists crash into each other (CP 4/12). Legislate that they must stay at least one metre from each other in every direction. For safety, comrades. Higgs, Tolga The election is over, the same senior politicians running the state, the same out of control surgical waiting list at Cairns base hospital! (I am on it twice). Neil, Manunda More regular police patrols needed at Munro Martin Parklands. Anti-social behaviour by groups getting out of control. Definitely would not be tolerated or allowed on the Esplanade. Keith, Edge Hill Regarding rape case outrage. What about all the child sex offenders walking among us? Protected by our judiciary system. Feels like we’re going back to the dark decades when child sex abuse was almost institutionalised. What do you think it does to children who spoke up and were heard when their perpetrator walks free? When there’s a whopping statistic that 97 per cent of these reports are true, they are the casualties of this justice system. Anon, White Rock Thank you Jerry Micola for your letter (1/12) regarding Tablelands Regional Council and the demise of a once pretty and well run Atherton township. Do hope more residents have their say to bring about positive changes. Ellen, Atherton
