Next stop is Cairns for Harlem Globetrotters
THE Harlem Globetrotters will bring their athleticism and comedy to the Far North in 2018 as part of their Australian tour.
The world-famous Globetrotters are set to thrill all basketball fans in Cairns with their iconic game during a national tour in April.
The team will land in the Far North just after the NBL season and in the same month as next year’s Commonwealth Games, when the Australian Boomers will play the opening rounds of the tournament in Cairns.
The NBL has organised the tour and owner and executive director of the NBL, Larry Kestelman, says he is delighted to bring the Harlem Globetrotters to Australia.
“The Harlem Globetrotters have entertained millions of people all over the world for 92 years and we are excited to have them here,” he said. “We want to bring the biggest and best basketball events to Australia. We are in the business of delivering great family entertainment and the Harlem Globetrotters are just that.”
First formed in 1926, the Harlem Globetrotters have become one of the most popular entertainment brands in the world, performing hundreds of live shows every year.
Their unique basketball skills and wizardry have thrilled fans around the world and they are synonymous with entertainment.
